The end of the beginning?

OR the beginning of the end? Blyth in Northumberland was among the first places to have wind turbines in the UK. Nine turbines were built along the pier.
Blyth has since become a centre for wind power research. Larger turbines have been built, both on and off-shore. The original smaller turbines have been dismantled and the photos show the last of them.
