New pictures on ‘The Ship Inn’ in Ouseburn

The Ship Inn in The Ouseburn, Newcastle has had ‘pictures’ on its end walls for some years now. The first that I saw were pretty young ladies, but as they were on sheets of paper they eventually washed away.

The recent ones are a ‘Black Sheep’ presumably to do with the famous Yorkshire brewery, but with a background of buildings in nearby Byker by the American artist Gaia. The other (East) wall is by an Amsterdam based UK group called London Police in association with Unit 44.
