Enquest Producer

Not since the Bonga left in 2003 has the river seen a ‘ship’ quite like this. The Enquest Producer is an oil storage/production platform which is being uprated at ONG Hadrian Yard at Wallsend to reopen the first ever North Sea (Argyll) oilfield. With no engines the vessel was towed from Hamburg by tugs Odin Viking, Smit Angola and Union Boxer (although Union Boxer did not enter the river.) Odin Viking with four Tyne tugs and three Tyne pilots brought the vessel in safely at low tide despite a gusty wind.
